While many schools and colleges offer scholarship programs based on academic and/or financial need, there are sources that may offer scholarships based on achievement, ethnicity, hobbies, or talents.
Groups such as the 4-H, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, private and religious organizations, or aid offered by organizations connected to your field of interest, should be included in your search.
A list of these organizations is available in the US Department of Labor's Occupational Outlook Handbook or at your public library. Additionally, educational benefits may be available through your local Veteran's Affairs office.
Links are provided as an informational resource. Their inclusion does not reflect an endorsement of the
organization.
